This is a part of our annual activities which provides much satisfaction within our the hearts of our members. YC:PO was established to address the needs of young children in the areas of nutrition, child abuse, child care, early development, maternal and infant health, safety and pediatric trauma, and parenting skills. While many projects fall under this category, we annually conduct two main projects under the heading of YC:PO.

The Children’s Christmas Party provides a Christmas party with dinner, entertainment, and gifts for more than 150 children and their families. This project takes many hours of preparation and includes donations fro mthe Kiwanis Club of Tulsa Foundation, members' contributions, and donations from local foundations. Representatives from our sponsored Key Clubs also participate in the event providing additional manpower to faciltate the evening. Miss Oklahoma and Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen also participate in making the night special for everyone involved. Click here for pictures from the 2010 event.

Child Spree provides a morning of breakfast, entertainment, and shopping for back to school clothes, shoes, and school supplies for needy school-aged children. Our club partners with various area agencies in locating those children in need. This project also takes many hours of preparation and includes donations fro mthe Kiwanis Club of Tulsa Foundation, members' contributions, and donations from local foundations such as CoxCommunications Empoloyees Foundation. Representatives from our sponsored Key Clubs, and other area groups also participate in the event providing additional manpower to faciltate the evening. Click here for pictures from the 2010 event.
