In April of 1918 one hundred fifty enterprising businessmen gathered in the basement of the Hotel Tulsa and organized Tulsa's first Kiwanis Club Kiwanians are always alert for civic needs, then develop a project around this need eventually turning it over to other groups to continue the activity. Over the years, the club has held many fundraisers, including our signature Charity Golf Classic, the Nationally acclaimed Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant, pancake breakfasts, spaghetti feeds and other events. We help the community in a variety of ways, including sponsoring youth groups, highway and park clean-ups, raising money to benefit children and children’s support groups, and providing scholarships. The club has enjoyed a rich history over the years, with its members coming from fields like accounting, civil service, education, management, and many more.
