The Done in a Day Projects were begun in February 2010 under the direction of then President Dan Cunningham. They are monthly service projects bringing Kiwanians to the front lines of community services with agencies such as Catholic Charities, Community Food Bank, and Special Olympics Oklahoma. Projects are designed as a short, hands-on event.
Each Done In A Day Project is a service project designed to take only 2-4 hours depending on the nature of the project and the number of members participating. Each project is easy and has compnents designed for every ability level.
When a member completes his/her first Done in a Day Project they receive a bright yellow t-shirt that proudly proclaims, "I D.I.D. It!" Then they receive a button to wear after completing their second project. The logo depicts a hand which symbolizes the act of service. The hand is open signifying our hope that each member completes a minimum of five of these projects annually.
If you represent a local non-profit agency and would like our club to provide manpower to assist in your program, please contact president-elect@kiwaniscluboftulsa.org.
